About this Pairing
WFK Captain Busta Mathis (Cap) x WFK Rum Runner (Cardi) is a pairing we are extremely excited about. Starting on paper their pedigrees are world class for field abilities with multiple generations of AKC Field Champions and several National Champions filling their history. However, paper doesn’t tell the whole story, as their real life actions prove their true value in breeding genetics. Cap and Cardi are cut from the same cloth. Both dogs have the quiet temperament and warm disposition our dogs are so well known for. They are the perfect partners in the field. Both have cannon noses, beautiful gaits and style to burn when pointing and honoring. Each with a soft mouth and strong natural retrieve to hand for every shot bird. They love water and get along great with other dogs and new people they encounter at home or in the field. $300 deposit, $1200 at pickup. $1500 total sales price.

About Cap
WFK Captain Busta Mathis (Cap) is siring his first litter. His pedigree is packed with AKC Field Champions and his grandmother on his mother’s side was the 2019 AKC Pointing Breed National Champion. His grandmother on his sires side was runner up champion in the same event. Pedigrees are important, but his real life talent and disposition are the result of a long history of excellence in breeding. Cap is a couch potato or front seat pickup rider when he’s not hunting. When he’s hunting he’s 100% all in on finding birds with exceptional style and class. His easy handle and speedy delivery of shot birds to hand make him a customer favorite as a leading guide dog for his owner Mike. We’re excited to continue the WFK legacy with Cap being part of our program.

About Cardi
WFK Rum Runner “Cardi” is one of my personal gun dogs. She’s hunted wild birds from foot and horseback in the Dakota’s, Oklahoma and here in Georgia. Cardi is richly bred like all our dogs, and her pedigree depth shows in her actual real life traits. Cardi has a big nose, beautiful gait, great style, and honors and retrieves perfectly. She is a quiet and easy keeper holding her end of the couch down during the off season. Cardi is a great water dog and loves to swim for pleasure.
